It is very necessary that we study The Book of Revelation. We know that to most people Revelations appears to be a very difficult book. This is due in part because of its symbolical nature making it hard to digest or understand. The key to understanding is this, the guidance of the Holy Spirit and knowing the Basics. If we understand the basic it would be much easier for us to understand the rest as we go along. Saints of God, if a child would read and understand the instructions given to them in school to solve a problem then they would not have a problem. But what usually happens is they try to solve the problem without reading and understanding resulting in the wrong answer. Why, lacking the understanding they were unable to do it correctly. knowing the Basics is very important!
There are some basic things about the book of Revelations that must be understood in order for you to be blessed by it. Saints of God, we cannot read the book of Revelations as we would read the books of Matthew, John or Acts and get understanding. No sir! Revelations is mostly symbolic and symbols relate to something else we must understand the relationships or we are not going to get it.
Revelations is not a closed book. This is told to us in the first chapter. The first five words of that chapter explaining that this is the Revelation of Jesus Christ, revealing an open book. The first clause in Hosea 6:3 states, “Then shall we know if we follow on to know the Lord.” We have to follow on Saints. As we present this part of Revelation, we would focus on the age in which we are now living, The Laodicean age, the seventh seal. This is the last age and we would be dealing with the Seals, the Trumpet and The Church. Now and then we would have to refer to the other ages prior to this to bring out what is needful for understanding.
It is my desire that through theses reading that God would bless us. May God open our understanding and give us that which is needed to comprehend and enjoy God’s blessing which he has set forth in the Book of Revelations.
